This park itself is decent, the lots themselves are good sized but each spot was lined with wood rail road ties which limited how big they felt once you actually parked. They have gravel lots but the gravel was never tamped so our jack pads sank down 5-6 Inches and we had to double them up. In terms of amenities their fishing pond from what I could tell only had grass carp so basically you won’t be catching anything. But it is a nice area to sit and walk around just bring loads of bug spray. Mosquitoes are terrible. Management is very involved they feel the need to assist you in parking, backing up ext. which from my experience is a big no-no in rving. Also as a woman (3 years fulltiming) it made me feel disrespected in that he wouldn’t allow me to help my husband back up our own rig. They rove around constantly checking in on all the campers. Making sure no rules are broken, they make it very well known that rule breaks are not tolerated and you can be asked to leave fairly easily. Last but not least the WIFI is a joke. We were driving in to town to get on the local pizza shops wifi daily because it was so terrible. When I asked if they could reset the router they told me no one else had complained and to just turn on and off my devices (like I hadn’t tried that multiple times). If you are in need of wifi DO NOT STAY HERE. Over all the park was clean, people decent, and the river was nice.

Very impressed with this campground! They get a 10 out of 10. I will be staying here again. I was pulling a trailer behind my Rv and I had no issues on getting to the camp spot. The people running this place are exceptional. They have an dog walk and park area that is just wow!!! I can’t say enough good things about this place.

It's a well-maintained park that is open year round. We stayed four nights to ski at Wolf Creek. I did not appreciate the female park manager's demeanor. It left a disappointing impact on our visit. In contrast, her husband was most accommodating and helpful. Chinook RV Park is across the street and also open. Our stay was during covid, and the town of South Fork had little in terms of activities and facilities - just the basics. We also spent time in Pagosa Springs which obviously had much more to offer. There we stayed at Happy Camper RV Park which is also open year round and quite a bit less expensive but not as nice a park.

This was, hands down, our favorite place to stay during our trip out west. Ron and Deb were so friendly and helpful, and their dog, Ala, was the perfect playmate for our dog. The large, beautiful, dog park area was a welcome surprise - and the walking trail over to the Rio Grande was spectacular! The sites were well groomed and level. The bathrooms and showers were absolutely beautiful - clean and spacious. I needed to do laundry and was very happy to be able to watch football in the common area while it was doing its thing. We are already planning our next trip around staying here as our "base camp". Thanks, Ron and Deb! (And Ala!) ❤🐾

On rare occasion there is one bear that may stop by. He has been visiting us for about 3 years.
You can ask the people in the trailer west of the office. At the corner. They are the owners or managers. Nice people. I can't remember
