In-N-Out Burger

On our way through Las Vegas, we stopped at the In-N-Out store and drive thru restaurant. The clothing store had a great selection of t-shirts, cups, and many products with their logo. Great customer service and clean restrooms. Our Double Doubles were delicious.

The bathroom was clean, the tables, floor and shared ketchup area was clean. The burgers look great all wrapped up in paper with all the toppings. I think for what it is, in n out does a nice job. Maybe you need to be drunk/high or hungover to really appreciate it and I was not. The burgers are.. okay, but leave so much to be desired. They seem to be the same thickness as McDonald's burgers. Then they get tomatoes, onions and lettuce, burger sauce and something small & green chopped up. I didn't mind that but the buns..weren't stale but felt like it? What a terrible texture. The fries are what someone who ate fries many years ago and tried to remember what they tasted like. Deeply underwhelming, sad excuses for fries. Ultimately, I'm glad I tried it however, no thank you.

This was my very first visit to In-N-Out ... all the guys in the office said it's one of the best burger places and that I had to order the double-double combo; so, I did. It was okay, but I expected more. I'm not a fan of fresh cut fries; I want mine extra crispy and that usually takes double frying. When I told my friends, they told me that I forgot to say "animal" .. double-double animal combo. Ah, yes, that replaces the raw onion with caramelized onions. That would have made the burger "special". Live and learn ...

Although there is some reasons why one should not eat at In-N-Out - This one is the night time location - Bit of a rough side of town next they push their beliefs on people - and their employees need ot believe too (It is said that it is not a requirement but I would imagine if they had a choice to hire one over the other - I am sure they wold.) Outside of this and if you can push past the above... then it's a great Burger ... the Fries well they are real potatoes but i find them to be ... maybe its the oil they use. IDK but they are editable (I usually get a small drink and Fries so its about the burger and its quality for me ... and consistency). They always seem to be yummy and it was for us - so give them a star I would usually take away for each blah ... So thank you for at least being constant!!! More so than its competitors.
