The Board of Directors seriously mismanaged the replacement of the previous pastor, Ken Baugh. Baugh is a published author and a leader on reaching millennials and Gen X for Christ. Ken Baugh has the full support of Rick Warren and is moving on to bigger and better things. In general, the Board runs this church in a secretive manner that leaves you feeling like you have little or no influence on important decisions that impact your enjoyment/satisfaction with the church. Until they place term limits on Board members and until the new Board actively seeks the opinions and preferences of the folks who attend the church I would avoid it. They dismissed Ken Baugh without doing a strategic plan, arranging for an interim pastor, or establishing a six month transition period. The way they handled parting ways with Ken Baugh lacked dignity and class.
