Howard has repaired 2 Yamaha amplifiers and a vintage McIntosh tube preamp for me. All are working great. He is extremely knowledgeable and one of a dwindling pool of people who can competently work on older equipment. You should know going in that it may take a little time to get your job done, but it is worth the wait. For aficionados of older audio equipment, Howard's shop is a fun place to visit to see all the old components he has in his lobby. A true walk back through time. Highly recommended.

Audio Specialist is truly a special place. You’d be hard pressed to find someone as knowledgeable as Howard to repair vintage audio equipment these days. He’s there to answer your questions and make sure things get repaired right! A rare gem of a store in Los Angeles.

This is the coolest vintage audio shop that I have ever seen!!! Howard had the part that we needed for our receiver to work and we use it everyday! The music is crystal clear! We will most certainly be back to Howard's shop as we build our vintage audio collection. It's a true gem and a must-see for any music lover!! Thank you so much, Howard!!!

In the 1970’s I purchased a Carver/Phase Linear audio system (Amp, Pre-amp, Tuner & CD player) which I paired with Infinity Kappa 9 speakers — a system that has given me untold hours of enjoyment. Over the nearly 50 years since I first purchased it, every component of this system has required repairs and Howard has handled the job masterfully. As other reviewers have mentioned, Howard isn’t necessarily the cheapest but he is one of a dwindling number of folks in this business that really knows his craft. And, as I’ve experienced, Howard takes ownership of his work, sticking with even the most frustrating of technical issues until they are resolved. As a customer of Howard’s for many years, I highly recommend him.

I am sorry but I no longer work on that product.
Yes. It depends what it is. It is best to call us. 818-995-8648 Thank you.
Yes I do. Do you have the old belt? Do you know the brand and model number of the unit? Thanks.
You must wear a mask. Before coming in to the store, an appointment must be made first. Thanks.
Call him and ask. He probably can.
Yes, with the exception of Tandberg reel to reel. They don't repair that Brand.
They repair most brands. I know that they stay away from Tandberg, the owner told me.
