Wow. LOUD. Disgusting. Dirty. Campground. Think twice before you stay here. There are nicer cleaner campgrounds in the area do your research. There are NOT Full hook-ups. Just electricity & water ONLY. There is NO shade at all. They have removed about 99.9% of the trees through-out the campsite to squeeze in as many campers as they can. You guessed it. You are packed in there like sardines. Camping right on top of one another. You can hear your neighbor snoring, that’s how close you are camping next to the next camper. It’s ridiculous. There is Mainly gravel, Zero grass. Look at my image. You can see how close the two fire pits are close together, a camper sides in that gravel slot next to us. So, yes that’s very close!! O.M.G. The showers. NASTY, NASTY, NASTY. Reminds me of the hills has eyes. So scary! My children would not even go in them at all. Images attached. Hair attached to the side walls. The showers are 2’x3’. Very tiny. Not joking. Mold and rust through-out the entire shower room. Ceiling, floors, walls. Absolutely disgusting. You have a screen door to shut behind you, and lock, then a curtain to close, it does NOT even go all the way to the floor. ANYONE can easily Get in there!! You will need a tetanus shot leaving the shower. The restrooms, Very dirty, not cleaned daily. Toilet’s do not flush, you know what it always in there. The playground is way too small, Very old and Needs updated. Quiet time starts at 11pm. Ha. That’s not enforced at all. The drunks stay up all night and flock to the center of the campground yelling, screaming, fighting and arguing. Live bands & karaoke play to 12-1am. So, definitely twice before staying here. We regret it so much!

Got in Thursday evening around 5pm. No issues with check in at all. Clerk working the desk had our check in paper printed out and ready to go for us. The camp store is nice and has anything you may need or may have forgotten. I like that you can buy things and they can charge it to the card you have on file that you used to make your reservation. The campground does offer firewood at a very reasonable price. I believe I paid $35 for a full Kubota Utility Vehicle bed load. The wood was good and burned well. The site we had was good. It was pretty level only requiring one leveling block. The site was gravel and grass, we had plenty of room and even some to spare that our visitors parked on. The campground staff are very nice and helpful. On arrival the campground was completely booked due it being their annual Halloween Weekend Campground. The campground is roughly 80 sites with additional seasonal sites mixed in there. Friday afternoon we realized that our neighbors at site 34 hadn’t shown up yet, we come to discover that they canceled their reservation. I was able to to talk to campground staff and they helped me reserve it for my cousin that was looking for a site to stay on. You have your usual pull through sites in the middle of the campground and then along the outskirts you have some very nice woods sites that offer beautiful views and scenery. They also have a whole separate section for seasonal sites on the opposite side of the park. The site are decent sized but seem to be pretty close together. You’re not terribly close but compared to state parks and other campground I’ve stayed at it was a bit tight. It’s very family friendly. They have a very nice community pavilion area and stage/projector screen. They were offering hayrides and a costume contest that weekend as well as a cornhole tournament Saturday afternoon. Trick or treating went well and was a good time. It’s a short walk from Cowan Lake State Park which has a beautiful large lake. The bathrooms and shower facilities were very well kept. They have individual shower rooms which include a vanity and a bench as well as a heat lamp that works nicely. All and all it’s a nice private campground. It offers friendly staff and a family friendly atmosphere. The short distance to Cowan Lake is a plus as well. Halloween weekend was a little hectic but overall went well and I enjoyed it. Only complaint I have is that the WiFi at the campground was down.

This place is inconsiderate of families who are just trying to have a quiet camping experience. You can hear the music they play for miles. And it just goes on for hours. Quiet time for camping grounds around them is 9pm and they go at least until 11.
