Sushi was delicious recommend trying The Escondido roll and the no money roll. The food was great definitely worth the try The rolls kept bursting because they where so full of deliciousness so that was great. My one gripe is the tuna tartar was just a tuna poke on a wonton cracker. Hence my 4 * This didn't affect my rating just was weird. Seating was strange as a party of 8 we where sat in the corner of the store ,but they had large tables in a large dining room space avoid going with a large party.

There were 4 servers standing around and me and my partner waited for 20 min or more. 3 other parties who got there 10 min after us got served first. I also saw another party who got there around the same time leave. It was not busy at all. I am not one to write reviews and I am very patient but this was just ridiculous. I recommend they work on paying attention to their customers. I am surprised there isn’t more reviews on this. This happened last time I came.

Someone suggested this place to go for my friend's birthday. We decided to try it out and we were not disappointed! We got one of their specials, I don't really remember what it was because it was a while ago. I do remember enjoying it though! It was delicious! I got a lot of sushi for the price. The sauce was phenomenal. And the Wasabi was some of the best I've ever had! It gave me good practice with my chopstick skills. If I'm ever back in Escondido, I will definitely go back. When we went, it was very busy. The place was super packed. We decided to get takeout because of that, but they were still very quick with preparing our food. If you're ever hungry for some sushi, ROLL on down to Sushi Yama!

Amazingly fresh sushi in this area that I've eaten at lately. Sashimi was thick cuts of fish.. so darn fresh. The rolls are ample and handrolls are big. We were all satisfied. Will come back againon my next trip down this way.
