One of the female managers with Carmel hair and thick black glasses was honestly the rudest employee I’ve ever encountered. She was unkind condescending, stuck up and had an attitude which was very irritating. Awful customer service. I would rather shop anywhere else than ever go back there again lol

Not very nice they just closed the doors to the mall entrance I'm at the lady ringing up customers and I beg to walk through to my car... As I parked at the exit I sat and watched people leaving still at 815 and she told me nope I had to walk to a mall exit and then walk around outside in the dark and try and find my car Not very nice I know it's my fault for not realizing the mall closed at 8pm...but I'm 58 and they had people in the store leaving through the kids section exit that I parked in front of since I was looking for items in jc penny and then chose to look in the mall afterwards Lesson learned... On my end. Don't park at jc penny

I've always liked JCPenny but haven't shopped in store in a long time. I had a hard time getting assistance in both departments I was looking in & no one tending the dressing room to try things on. When I finally chose a couple of items to purchase (probably would've been a lot more if I had some help) I had to walk around the entire 2nd floor to find a checkout station with an actual person there to check me out. (I know, I know, like everything else - it's because of Covid - right?) Gone are the days of customer service, Covid is a convenient scapegoat.

The store is neat and clean. The prices are good. They have a salon, eyeglasses, photo, and much more. The clothes are a hit and miss with me. I'm not too big on fashion. I keep it simple. When I find my style I purchase it. The associates are all different in their approach to customers. I come here often, too often and I can chime in on customer service. Few employees are very helpful, others treat you like you are bothering them. Employees should not talk about the customers after they leave. Well at least not in front of other customers. That's very rude. The worst part neither employee have the decency to say this is not the time for this. I tend to ignore bad services but that is not good for the company. That's one of reason I tend to shop online. I don't have to deal with the associates that seems to be having a bad day. I wish they would bring back the scanners to check for the prices. It's a hassle to bring all those items to the register and leave them there because that's not the price I assumed. No wonder the employees are miserable. It may be from over working because of all those go backs.
