Staff is incredibly rude. I was SO HELPFUL to them and to be discredited and spit on... they were horribly rude to me. I wish I would've gotten the first shift girls name. Will never come back here.

I'm a runner. When I'm in the area, I like to run here. People who live in the community come out and cheer me on and I'll stop to talk and walk with them. My little way of giving back, I suppose. Beautiful scenery! Staff come out with some of the people who live here and are very friendly.

This place might be alright for short-term care for your elderly loved one, but for long-term care, I'd suggest finding your loved one a better place. The Sanctuary does have a few wonderful people on their staff, but the rest of them are there only for the pay. And those people need to receive better training on how to interact with, and be more compassionate with the elderly patients. Furthermore, several things need to be addressed and corrected, like: Forcing patients to go to Therapy more than once a day, especially when they are in severe pain. Making patients walk the corridors when it's clear they CANNOT walk, and need to stay in their wheelchairs. Making patients sit in their wheelchairs and wait forever while the staff takes their sweet time taking them to the dining room, or to therapy, or the bathroom, or wherever. Staff taking forever to get medications and fresh cold water to the patients. Staff failing to put towels on the floor for patients to stand on after their baths / showers, and putting the patients to bed with their bodies and hair still soaking wet. Staff arguing with the patients and not listening to their needs and concerns. Staff ignoring call buttons. Yes, I understand that some care facilities may be understaffed and overwhelmed with duties, but steps should be taken to make sure the facility is not understaffed. Also, the caregivers need to be trained better in regards to care and compassion towards the elderly patients. Some day, those people will be elderly and sickly and may need to stay in assisted care themselves--then they will realize just how difficult life can be. I'm being honest and straightforward with my review. All it takes is a few improvements.

Responding to Joshua's response. I am the Director of Marketing and Sales at 10 Wilmington Place. I feel to need to point out the facts. The Ohio Department of Health gave us a perfect score during its unannounced inspection of the care we provide.

No its not. They have their own private apartment rooms. With a living room.
I do not work there but they may only due to independent living. Smoke outside.
No there is not a swimming pool at 10 Wilmington Place. There are 2 movie theaters, fitness center, beauty salon, & a store.
We have a variety of price-points to fit many budgets. However, we are not an income-based community. Because we include many services (like meals, activities, housekeeping, and other services), our monthly rates are more than most "typical" apartment communities. We are quite competitively priced compared to similar Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care communities in the area.
