Cap City Diner was an amazing experience through and through. The energy of the environment is very relaxed and fun, and wait staff was a pleasure to talk to. The options here are endless, the hot pretzel is huge and tastes great, and the blue cheese chips are surprisingly delicious. Along side their great selection of shakes, I got the cap city club and enjoyed it very much. I can’t wait to come back here again!

We got a carryout order of Meatloaf, Romano Crusted Chicken, 24k Carrot Cake and 2 Lemondrop Martini's to go. Everything was spectacular, even an hour later when we ate it. Leftovers the next day we're still just as good. This was on a Friday night at 5:30. It was hands down the best food we've gotten in a long time. Great experience!

this place has a reputation in columbus for having some of THE best eats in the city. and yet i've never been! so when date night came around, i was thrilled to have a chance to finally check it out. first off: get reservations ahead of time. this place is BUSY. hour waits aren't uncommon. but we didn't have to wait very long since we reserved a table. i'd definitely say that's the way to go. the menu is chef curated, and there are definitely some interesting combinations on the menu (with, from what i could tell, no substitutions). but there's absolutely something for everyone. i got the meatloaf melt because i have heard GREAT things about the meatloaf here, and my date got the spicy chicken rigatoni. both of us were absolutely satisfied with our selections; the rigatoni is a HUGE portion size packed with meat, pasta, mushrooms, and veggies, while the meatloaf melt is so thick that posting pictures of it could be qualified as a thirst trap. service was excellent and attentive too. it felt like every phase of dining we had multiple people helping us out. and that's despite it being a packed house at 8pm on a weekday. they nailed the 50s americana aesthetic, and you feel like you're in a classic traincar diner despite the building being far bigger and nowhere near as cramped. overall, this is a place where the reputation precedes itself, and with good reason. be ready for a busy restaurant that doesn't feel busy, a time capsule from another era, and a delicious food experience, all at once. A++ work, absolutely deserves the glowing reviews it gets.

Very impressed with this place loved the decor and the server was wonderful. I had the pecan crusted pork chops and they were cooked perfectly and not dry like so many places tend to over cook. Also had a dirty martini and was thrilled to find someone that knew how to make it correctly. Wedge salad was also great had plenty of leftovers. Would definitely go again if ever in this area! The Martini did have a few blue cheese stuffed olives just didn’t make the pic!

You'd probably have to call to find out
Sorry, i cant help. This is a Google forum not the actual diner. You are better off calling the diner.

I remember seeing a poster about it, but I dont remember the specifics. In short, yes.
No they are doing a remodel. The new building will be in the same location.
