They appear agitated trying to help people. That's a customer service job they should be more enthusiastic but they're not.

Low lines and friendly staff, I was not able to get hold of anyone over the phone for a week so I went to the office and they transferred me to a rep over the phone that was able to assist me. I did wait like 30 min but after a week my issue resolved.

I filed in March 2020 and received two payments in May and then nothing. So far they have missed 13 payments. They are not taking calls on their main phone line, it simply says "We are not taking calls at this time". They do not answer …

I applied in mid-march and received award letter ONLY on 6/2/20. No benefits yet. No evidence of award online. No correspondence from EDD. No way of reaching a human. No response to emails. Exhausted all resources to reach anyone. What do I do?

I have been trying to get UI Benefit since about a week after The Bar I was working at got mandatory shutdown from the Governor of Calif. I have filed a unemployment claim way back on 3/24/2020. Still no payment.

You can pick up a disability form from this location, even though it is not a disability office. There is a Edd Disability Office located at 4300 Long Beach Blvd on the 6th floor, in Long Beach, Ca.

They will help you with anything you need, I recall. If it was something you already started online. Just remember they leave 15 minutes early, lol....if you get there after 4:45...too late.

Why cant EDD Torrance help us? They send everyone to Long Beach!

Yes, but you have to file for unemployment. If you aren't eligible you will re receive the letter

I don't think so. You have to go to the Social Security office for that, which is totally separate dept. and totally unrelated to the EDD. You cannot mix the two.....you are either one or the other, you cannot be both at the same time. Jose.

I filed a claim a month and a half ago. I received a payment on 4/8/21. I have certified for six weeks with no payments being made. how do I find out if and when I will get payments.
