Ben's command of the training process was impressive. He was professional, personable, knowledgeable, and confident. He listened to our concerns and questions and knew exactly what to do to move us forward to the finish line. He also won over our dog which is an accomplishment in itself! The office staff is friendly and caring as was every tech who came to the house. We're very happy with the service and results and highly recommend!

Ben and Will from Invisible Fence of Southern Maine came today to assess and possibly repair an old fence that a previous home owner had installed. Sadly, the fence had to be replaced completely but Ben and Will did an amazing job. They were prompt and thorough. When it came to the training part, they were very gentle and patient with my dog. Overall a great experience.

Ben and Will came out to do the install - they arrived early and were thorough and prompt with the install, and really good with the dogs during the initial training session. They provided good instructions for us going forward, and we're looking forward to being able to let our dogs off leash inside the fence once they are through with their final training

After adopting a dog a few weeks ago, we called invisible fence of southern Maine to come look at a system installed by the previous home owner. Eric O. was prompt, very friendly, and extremely thorough in his analysis of the system. He quickly identified a few breaks in the line, repaired them, then walked me and my dog through how the system works. He was patient and thorough in his explanations of the system and how to perform our perimeter walks. I felt very good about the system and what I needed to do to get my dog positioned for success with the system. Highly recommended!

Questions & Answers

You put in our invisible fence 20 yrs ago. Can you resurrect it? We live at 136 Fletcher St. Kennebunk. Very busy road!

Hi Linda, Do you still have the transmitter box that operates the system? If so, then we can try to repair or rewire the current system at your property. Please call our office at (207) 781-2400 and we can walk you through what we'd want you to check over the phone and set up an appointment for you. We are currently booking into late September as this is our busiest time of the year. Thanks, Invisible Fence of Southern Maine

Can an old IF fence support a dog with a newer fence collar?

Barb Lovell | Aug 21, 2021
Invisible Fence | Aug 21, 2021

Hi Barb, It depends on the type of technology the old IF fence and the newer receiver collar are. It's possible they could be compatible, but we would need to verify the type of equipment you have to let you know for sure.

For the last month the alarm has been going off (beeping) at least once a week. Any reasons for this?

Hi Terri, If the alarm is only beeping intermittently (a beep every 5-8 seconds) then it is telling you that the system is either running on the backup battery or that the backup battery is dead and will no longer charge. I would recommend testing your dog's receiver collar at the boundary to make sure it is still working (it should be). If you want to get the beeping to stop we can guide you through that over the phone at 1-800-585-2803.

Our transformer in the garage is beeping constantly. Is it the cold? Husband has turned it off.

It is most likely a problem with the wire itself. Occasionally the temperature can effect a partial break as it fluctuates. Small likelihood that temperature alone is to blame. Aggressive snow plowing a possibility if it started recently.

We already have the invisible fence and now have an additional puppy. How young can a puppy be start wearing a collar? thank you

General consensus among vets and Invisible Fence protocol says 16 weeks, but New training developments have now lessened that amount of time to 8 weeks.
