I had an amazing experience at Smith Rock Trail Rides! Melanie and Brian were responsive when trying to schedule a ride. I rode with Brian who was extremely knowledgable and kind. The ride is great for beginners but still very enjoyable for more experienced people - the views were spectacular too! The horses were happy, well trained, and very well taken care of. Would highly recommend!

Our experience at Smith Rock Trail Rides was nothing but amazing! We researched a few other companies but decided to sign up with them after seeing the beautiful terrain on the website. We were not disappointed. The scenery and horses are absolutely beautiful, they are just like the photos! The owners, Brian and Melanie, are so welcoming and experienced which really helped ease any hesitation when first getting on our horses (it had been a while!). Brian also provided a thorough tutorial before hitting the trails and gave us individual coaching. The pace was perfect and he was sure to pause every once in a while to make sure we were doing ok. You can tell they love their animals and really appreciate their clients. Thank you again for such a memorable experience!

This was a wonderful experience! Brian was extremely welcoming and friendly. We didn’t have any experience with horseback riding and he made us feel safe and comfortable, while also being incredibly patient. The trail ride was beautiful and scenic, and comfortable to ride! Brian packed us waters and took amazing photos of us that we will cherish forever! It was a great way to see Smith Rock and would definitely recommend for any other visitors.

A great ride with great horses and a great guide. These beautiful and well trained horses will make you want to ride all the time. And what a gorgeous place to ride! It felt like we were in parts of Zion national park, and I'd forgotten we were still on Oregon. I wanted to trott more, but the guide wasn't keen to do that. I'm sure it's mostly because of the liability and you are a little close to cliffs. But it seemed at times our horses couldn't help but trott a little, which was fine by me. They were so responsive to us riders it made for a very comfortable and enjoyable ride.
