This is in response to Ashlley Flores’ review. I am a volunteer with The Greater Derry Humane Society. We did receive Ashlley’s application, and I can verify that she was contacted by multiple volunteers. Even after the adoption process was explained to her, she still continued to call us every day asking for the dog. While we sympathize with her disappointment in not being chosen for this dog, it is completely unfair to leave a bad review for a rescue based on this. I can assure everyone that the dog was placed with the best applicant for his needs. That should be what’s most important here.

worst service ever! i had to keep calling them showing them how bad i wanted a dog and they still wouldn’t give him to me. Disappointed! never even got a text or email!

I have fostered several dogs for GDH and a family member actually adopted one of them. They were great and always answered me in a timely manner. They truly want the best homes for the animals and will look a tall potential applicants to make sure the animal has the best home going forward.
