I’ve been going to camp Sargent for 9 years now and I have definitely learned how to be a better me and I’ve also made new friends along the way camp has always been a place I can go if I need help or just simply to get away from my fears I’ve became stronger and way more mature because of camp Sargent and definitely through the years mark and all of the other staff have helped me through tuff times

I would not recommend this camp to anyone. I was excited to have my 6 year old daughter go here because I went to a YMCA camp as a kid and loved it. However, this was not the case. My daughter was REPEATEDLY BULLIED (pushed, hit, being called names). I told every counselor I came into contact with, one of the assistant directors, and her group counselor about it and no one would do anything. Upon talking to the director, she told me this was the first she was hearing about it even though I had been mentioning it for weeks. Then, she accidentally dropped her lunch on the ground so they called me to tell me I needed to bring her a new one. I was at work and asked if they had anything they could give her. The response was “We have WEEK OLD HOTDOG BUNS that we can give her but that’s it.” One of the assistant directors seriously suggested I feed her that. I have heard from another parent on telling them about this that their child had HEAT EXHAUSTION and was throwing up but she wasn’t notified until she picked him up. I have pulled her from camp and found other arrangements for the rest of the summer. Do not send your children here!
