Great experience for kids with its abundant information about the aquatic life and beyond - a lot more interactive activities. Got there on a weekday afternoon and it was fairly packed. Really a great gem! I heard that there were a lot of upgrades to the existing so I couldn't tell aside from really enjoying it all!

Absolutely wonderful experience! So many amazing exhibits and very informative and interactive displays. Parking was very easy and they even validated the parking. The cafes were good, and not packed. It was really cool to get to see the scuba divers feeding the fish, getting to pet sting rays, and feeding birds. We highly recommend putting this on the list of must see while in the long Beach area.

Had a great time today at the aquarium! It has been about a year since I've been but there are some new interactive areas that my kids loved. There is a room where you color in fish or a shark and the coloring shows up on a large projected screen. This was my son's favorite We got here about 11am and a lot of the animals were active. It also was not top busy even though it was presidents day. It got busier by the time we left at 2pm. I was able to get photos of octopus moving, turtles, penguins, and many more animals. If you have a AAA membership I would recommend buying through them cause the tickets are slightly cheaper. My kids and I always love seeing all the animals!

I was here about two weeks ago with my dear friend, her 18 month old daughter, and my three year old son. I haven't been here in many years and had forgotten how spacious this place is. Both the kids and adults had a blast! The staff is amazingly friendly and knowledgeable and most the exhibits were functioning. There was some pretty neat interactive activities like touching the stingrays and decorating a fish on a tablet that got displayed on a wall amongst fellow fish artists. We arrived a few minutes after our ticket time but it wasn't an issue. I prefer going on a Tuesday early-mid day, as I did on this day because I like to avoid crowds. Success!! Not many people! I read the maximum ticket price was $8 which turned into $12 upon paying to leave. No big price jump, but I'm thinking maybe the marquee was wrong?

No. Tickets are about $30. Kids 3-11 and seniors get in at a discount.
There's a parking structure across the street that has handicap parking. Be sure to validate your parking as you're leaving the aquarium, then the cost will be $8.
Yes. Shark lagoon which is outdoors. It's a shark touch pool. Great experience.
With small / closed sandwiches you can pass. But you can not eat inside the building where fish live. If not outside in the indicated places that remain behind the building
Adult passes are $36.95, Children (3-11 years old) passes are $26.95
