I used to live by this trail and I love it so much! It is cool in the shade and by the water, it is windy and scenic, and it has enough trailheads and turnarounds to be enjoyable for a lot of activities and ability levels.

One of my favorite places to walk year round. If you’ve not been out this winter to see it frozen, you’re missing out. This winter wonderland is “otherworldly”. The best place to see waterfalls is at the Community Center Entrance on Waukomis — just across from the Elementary School. If you park at the lot near the creek, there is a sidewalk that crosses over the creek (it’s impassable during high water). Head left once you cross and walk less than 2-tenths of a mile. This is one of the best falls at Line Creek, especially if you have your dog with you. There are rock shelves to get down to the water. If you head in the opposite direction walking about 7-tenths of a mile, there is another nice waterfall. This one has a much steeper embankment, but definitely worth climbing down for a better view.

Really fun and interesting trail especially during this late autumn, walking around as theres scattered colored leaves, a peaceful flowing creek, leading into some nostalgic suburbs, and just a great trail to go on with friends or alone.

I love this trail, except that I would prefer an asphalt surface instead of cement. The trail is mostly shaded, so I'm able to use it to walk and run intervals even on the hottest days. I've been on this trail even on days when it's over 100 degrees. Today it was 95, and I was not the only one out there. Families walk the trail, walkers and runners frequent it, and cyclists love it, too. It's very long, wide, and in good condition. Some parts have a few hills to climb, but there are several access points, so by choosing wisely you can avoid or embrace the hills. Because of the heat today, I chose to start at the Line Creek Community Center and head south to the Riverside Library. That stretch is very level with only a couple of minor rises, and mostly shaded. I can refill my water bottle at the library if it's open when I get there. If I think it will be closed, then I start from the library and walk north, refilling my water bottle at the Line Creek Community Center, which is almost certain to be open whenever I get there. Lots of beautiful scenery, including a couple of waterfalls. Today I saw a mallard duck couple and a blue heron. Once I saw a fox, and I've frequently seen groundhogs and deer. Squirrels abound, of course.

As far as I can tell you need to turn back to where you parked ... We park at the community center walk to Sonic in Riverside get a slushie and come back 👍
I don't think so. Like he said, I wouldn't want to eat any out of there. I would check out the Dept of Conservation. I never even fished there as a child in the 60's.
