We came in December of 2016 just to look and we brought home Buddy. He was only in hiding for a day and a half and then he took over our hearts and home. We call hm our little cat dog because he loves belly rubs, follows us all around and waits for us by the door. Thank you to the fellow that didn't keep him after a week!!

We had such a great experience here! We adopted the sweetest cat, she has definitely completed our life. We found the staff to be extremely knowledgeable and nice. Their facility is very clean and you can tell the animals are happy and well cared for.

We recently adopted our dog from here. She is doing absolutely amazing and is very spoiled. We visited a couple other shelters before finding our perfect match. This is by far the cleanest and friendliest shelter we visited. All the animals are well cared for and you can tell how much they love the staff. We loved that the staff is able to tell you everything about the animal's personality. If you're looking to adopt save you're lots of time and visit the Humane Society of Lake County.

Real people. Real hearts. Real rescue. I know the staff of the stellar Humane Society of Lake County well. They work their hearts out daily to save animals from high kill shelters, choosing the ones adopters and other rescues pass up. These are the hidden gems, the diamonds in the rough like Faith here. Angie and Ciji along with their dedicated, welcoming staff, have a commitment to doing things the right way and always choose what's best for their animals. I've watched them in action and these women are a force of nature in Florida rescue. Lucky animals to land here on their way to forever loved!

YES THEY DO EVERYTHING
They usually have both dogs and cats that are adoptable.
You can! Anyone can go there and see the dogs and cats, and if you and that furry friend are ready, you can adopt them and take them home.
Yes that is something that is accepted
Lake County Animal shelter in Tavares will neuter him with their "Caturday" program for $10. You can go online to set an appointment time and date.
Call Angie Cline at the Humane Society. He will come down and pick the cat up. They don't take walk-ins.
You can try Animal Services in Tavares. 352-343-2101 option 4. We do not deal with any kind of wildlife
Currently the youngest is 9 months old and weighs around 30-35lbs (she will be online tonight or tomorrow). We do get puppies in occasionally though. It is best to check the website for who is available humanelake.com/dogs.
You can call them and schedule a meet, then you fill out the application while you are there. That's how I did it.
If they have space, you can
I've only foster three kittens for and I honestly I'm not sure what the fee is for dogs or cats to be adopted. I'd say your best bet would be to call them and ask.
So sorry to hear about your situation 💔 I'll keep you in my Prayers that all goes well. PLEASE call the Animal Control shelter/ Lake County sheriff's and request to speak with someone in the animal Control departmentthey should have someone who could come pick up your animal for you. They are a no-kill shelter now.
I suggest you take him to the Lake County Animal Shelter at 28123 County Rd 561 Tavares, FL.
How much does what cost exactly you would probably have to call them and ask them yourself because that's kind of a vague question.
Well I don't actually work there, but you can Google there number an ask as I'm sure they may have many to choose from. Since all the shelter's have become a No KILL shelter from what I heard. Hope that help's
Absolutely not!! Inhumane and shouldn't be done!
Do NOT go to misfits. Got to Lake Veterinary Clinic in Mt Dora on 19A. Cheaper than Misfits and the vets are 100% nicer
Don't know if they take large animals. Call them. There used to be a place in Orange county that took in horses. They used them with special needs kids for experience outside their usual life and to give them more confidence.
Do you still have the Carin, I'm looking for a dog to give a forever home to. Cindy Osteen
Call Angie Klein she is the executive director. She will give you all the information you need.
Contact them & they'll give Ua listing of who does
She ne ds to take the animal to a shelter withh her vet paperwork so they know her shot history. Lake county location is in astatula
Misfits is very affordable and very good with pets. I highly recommend them! In Tavares
Go to the cat protection Society on Route 19a south of 441 in Eustis Mount Dora. they'll be able to help you.
It's $60 for a dog. I'm sure it's less for a cat.
Call the cat protective Society in Mount Dora. They will take it for you.
You should call the shelter. This is a crowd sourced app, not the shelters site
