The website looks great. It tells visitors to the site about the club, and has pictures and descriptions for their meetings and guest speakers for the entire year. The club is very active and the meetings are well attended by members with a wide range of interests and knowledge that they are willing to share. Great place for beginners to learn, and more experienced rock hounds to learn more.

This web site is easy to navigate and helpful to know when the club meets and clearly describes their meeting agendas

Clackamette Mineral & Gem (CMGC) rock club is a place to meet friendly, knowledgeable people of all ages, who enjoy all aspects of rocks, minerals and geology. CMGC members volunteer to share their talents including identification, cutting, polishing, tumbling, sphere making, cabochon making, wire wrapping, faceting, bead making, silversmithing, gold panning and rock equipment. Club meetings include guest speakers, silent auctions, rock and mineral identification and of course treats. The CMGC junior program has fun planned activities with an energetic leader. Guests at the club meetings receives a free rock. Outside activities include field trips, classes and preparation for the club’s annual rock show in October at the Canby Fairgrounds. Nita W

Tom, Give us a call at 503-656-6778.

Edd here. Anyone know the quickest. cheapest way to get a full mineral test done on a heavy metal rock (thought to be a meteorite?) Even if it ISN'T a meteorite, a top end metal detector scan shows 6/7 metals w 3 showing gold or higher.
