Diamond in the rough! My girlfriends and I visited Lake Anna for a girls trip weekend and stumbled upon this place. We were all pleasantly surprised by its down to earth atmosphere and 5 star menu options. We immediately knew there had to be a chef on staff by the taste of the food. Absolutely delicious. The manager, Chris, visited our table and confirmed not only was there 1 chef on staff but 3. Wonderful and pleasant dining experience.

We met for a Girls’ Getaway in Lake Anna. Purely by happenstance we found Callie Opie’s Orchard restaurant as we were searching for a dinner spot on our first night. We didn’t know what to expect, but we were open to the experience. For appetizers, we tried the tomato Boursin cheese dip and the bang bang shrimp. Both were amazing! We all ordered a different entrée in order to compare notes. We tried the crab cakes (which are huge, BTW), the trout, the shrimp stir fry and the ribeye steak. We were extraordinarily pleased with all of her meals, even the pickiest of us. Everything was perfectly cooked and hot from the kitchen. And the entreé sides were fantastic, especially the winter vegetables mix. They were perfectly pan-roasted with a slight char and still a bit of crunch. During dinner, we were visited by Chris, the managing chef. He asked about our experience and explained the origin of the restaurant. He also told us that the menu changes with the season. We were so pleased that we went back another night to see if the food and service would be as good on a weekend night. Again we were blown away! This place is a diamond in the rough. We will definitely dine again at Callie Opie’s on our next visit to Lake Anna.

I was alone so I took a bar seat. I tried the fried cauliflower which was very good. It was burger night so I ordered the mushrooms and Swiss burger medium rare. Since it was 8oz I opted for no bun. It was cooked perfectly. Fries were good also. The bartender Christi was amazing. She served me and everyone else with speed and a smile. I'll definitely be back with the family.

I have to give a big shout out to Callie Opie's today. Four of us went to the Louisa Art Center today and then wanted to get a drink and visit. First two places were closed. So we landed at Callie Opie's who was closed too. However, they invited us to stay and have our drink and catch up with each other. Not only did they let us stay (they don't open until 5pm and this was at 3pm) they made us a special appetizers to have with our drinks!!!! Chris, the GM and Terry, the incredible chef, came out and made our stop at Callie Opie's this afternoon amazing!!!! They are also debuting their brick oven pizza and they have a band tonight !

They wear masks properly, people are sat 6 ft apart, and they wipe tables in between customers.
It depends on what you think is expensive. The food is good so to me it's worth the price.
Yes we are open for Brunch 10-2pm on Easter Sunday
It's a bit pricey but it's tyical brunch. Steak and eggs Benedict, shrimp and polenta, veggie omelettes.
