The Prosser House is a hidden π!! Nestled at the base of some hills and situated within a vintage home of an era long past. Found this spot on a whim. I was looking for good hometown cooking and I found it. Kicked off my visit with some "Battered Green beans" π₯π₯ which btw should be an alternate choice to fries..for sure!! Ordered the "1896" Burger named after their year of inception..that too was π₯π₯ Came with a small cup of clam chowder which did not disappoint. All in all this place delivered some big town flavor in a small town market. Prices are a bit on the higher side but the overall experience more than made up..not a bad spend at all π Check out the pics and The Prosser House...you are sure to enjoy it!!

My family and I were traveling from San Francisco to Washington on a road trip. We were visiting wonderful places and making stops to have breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had stopped in some bad restaurants on our trip traveling through Oregon, and then we got to the Columbia Valley and found this amazing secret gem: The Prosser House. This was our best dining experience during the trip! Everything had super fresh ingredients (something we did not have the previous days). All the waiters and the owners were extremely nice and made us feel at home. They also helped us with great recommendations to visit around the area. Thank you so much for your hospitality, we will definitely be back!

I was really looking forward to dining at this restaurant, as we had read reviews that were glowing about how great it was. We had planned a dinner there, bit fortunately, decided to have a lunch before having dinner later in the week there.. As described online, and in YouTube videos, it is an ideal place to have an excellent dining experience with food and accommodations. Well, call us disappointed! First off, it sits right on the main road through Prosser, so if dining on the patio, you're dealing with road noise all through the meal. When you go in the restaurant, is is plain, bland, all hard surfaces and extremely noisy. You sit at a basic table, with basic chairs, no table coverings, and if lucky, a salt and pepper shaker on the table. The menu is very small and limited. It appears the biggest sellers are burgers, which people rave about. Well, they're overcooked and overpriced for what you get. And, if they read this review, Im the guy who asked for a slice of red onion on my burger (I was told they come with chopped red onions). Okay...So, I end up with a burger, no chopped onions, but a small slice of red onion on the side. When I get the bill, call me surprised when I was charged for the slice of red onion! Obviously, we did not have dinner there later in the week. From my viewpoint, if this is the best Prosser has for dining, the town is in trouble. It is your nominal burger joint with an attached bar that the locals thrive on. Maybe I was there on a bad day, but I won't be back. Update: apparently I struck a nerve here. The owner does not know that there are two video reviews of Prosser House on YouTube. Suggests he dies a search to. Verify my statement.

The BEST food, drinks, and service imaginable. Had the Cuban and mom had the cod and we were both blown away.
