I am not sure the price is fair or not because I have never done this before. However, they provided good quality and had done a great job on our A/C repair due to not blowing hot or cold air. They are friendly and very professional

Klondike Air has come to our home a few times now. Once for a service appointment, and most recently for a repair of our air conditioning unit. These guys are the best! They arrive on time, give honest and fair quotes, are extremely kind and most importantly, do quality work. Highly recommended.

Klondike installed a new System in 2018. The techs were great but the owner Andrew was difficult to work with when mistakes were made. He was unwilling to take responsibility and confrontational. Fast forward to today, we have a 60% refrigerant leak in a 4 year old system and Andrew unwilling to solve the problem. He wants $425 to “find” the leak. Clearly the issue is a bad install or faulty equipment. Again, Andrew was rude and confrontational. I recommend you find a different company for all of your HVAC needs.

Klondike is always friendly and professional. They truly care about their customers Ava thrive to make each interaction positive. They installed our AC years ago and have been maintaining it since then. It's the best thing we have done for our home since moving in about 12 years ago. I feel that I can trust Klondike. I pay for the twice-a-year maintenance and have gotten to know the crew over the years. Never had a negative experience with them, always positive, and it's one of those businesses I look forward to working with rather than dread when we're due for a service. Highly recommended!

The two most basic maintenance items are: 1) regularly scheduled filter changes 2) condenser & evaporator coil cleaning. Both of these tasks ensure that you are getting proper air flow in your system, allowing the equipment to work as it is designed.
Though there can be a bit of wiggle room, generally speaking, you should have your air conditioner serviced twice yearly: once in the fall and once in the spring. This is to ensure that it's clean, that its parts are in good shape and that it's operating as optimally as possible.
While most ac units can last 15 to 20 years, if maintained properly they may still need a few repairs along the way.

If you’re interested in keeping your cooling costs down, use the auto setting so the fan only runs when needed to maintain the set temperature. However, if you prefer a more consistent temperature, use the on setting for uninterrupted airflow. This option may also be beneficial if you have allergies or asthma because air will constantly be filtered as it flows through the system.
All air conditioners have a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER). The higher that number is, the more efficient your unit is. The current industry minimum for new air conditioners is 14, but state-of-the-art equipment can reach a SEER as high as 21. While the initial cost of the latter may be higher, the lower monthly operating costs will actually save you money over the life of the system.
Many air conditioners can last 15 to 20 years, if maintained properly. You may need a few repairs along the way, but your Klondike Air | Heating & Cooling Experts technician can usually catch and fix small problems during your annual Clean & Check.
Ideally, you should do it before your current system fails and leaves you rushed to make a replacement decision. Fortunately, there are a few signs that indicate it’s time to start looking at your options: your unit is more than 10 years old, it’s not keeping up with your needs, you notice a big increase in your cost to run it, or it needs regular refrigerant refills. In some cases, a simple repair may be all that’s needed, but if it’s no longer safe or practical to put more money into your AC, we’ll explain that, too, and make recommendations for the most appropriate replacement.
Almost any home can include central air conditioning, if you’re willing to invest in ductwork and make design allowances for it. But before you make that decision, schedule an in-home consultation with an HVAC expert like Klondike Air | Heating & Cooling Experts — we can give you a better idea of what would be involved and also explain alternative cooling options, like ductless split systems.

Most likely, if it’s an older unit, the compressors were louder than the newer units. However, this is not a guarantee. If you’re noticing any issues with your AC, or it’s louder than it used to be, give us a call let us know. We’ll be more than happy to take a look and give you peace of mind.
This could be one of many issues, such as a dirty air filter, poor home insulation or undersized air ducts.Often times, there is a leak in the AC coolant causing the system to underperform. This will cause the electric bills to skyrocket and lower your comfort level in your home. This is another situation when it’s best to consult with the professionals.
The evaporator part of the AC unit has a condensate drain(s) that may be plugged. Stop using the AC immediately to prevent more damage and, on this one, it is best to call an HVAC professional.
Maintenance is about preventing issues. Think of your HVAC like a car: do you routinely take it in for an oil change and checkup, or only after it breaks down on the freeway? HVAC systems are complicated pieces of machinery that require regular attention to function at peak efficiency. In choosing not to do HVAC maintenance, you also risk voiding your warranty and shortening the system’s lifespan.
First and foremost, make sure your filter is clean, if not, change or clean it. The most commonly forgotten of solutions, cleaning or changing the filter of your HVAC unit is your best bet for a free fix. If the problem persists, give us a call and let us know what seems to be the problem (ie. the unit cycles off on its own, the heater is blowing cold air, the AC isn’t blowing cold air, etc). Our team is always happy to help.
An outdoor unit combined with an indoor unit. A packaged central air conditioner has the evaporator coil, condenser, and compressor all located in one cabinet, which usually is placed on a roof or on a concrete slab next to the house’s foundation. This type of air conditioner also is used in small commercial buildings. Air supply and return ducts come from indoors through the home’s exterior wall or roof to connect with the packaged air conditioner, which is usually located outdoors. Packaged air conditioners often include electric heating coils or a natural gas furnace. This combination of the air conditioner and central heater eliminates the need for a separate furnace indoors.
A type of compressor used in cooling systems to compress refrigerant by using a piston action.

There are certain ways that you can work to minimize energy consumption in your home. Having a unit that includes high-efficiency filtration can be very helpful. Regular maintenance can also aid in correcting issues that could potentially lead to significant damages in the future. Increasing your temperature in the summertime months is another way can you can cut down on costs, which will also bring down the monthly electricity bill.
Mold of various types can grow in both humid and cool environments. Whenever your AC is functioning, there’s always a chance of some humidity getting trapped on or in the filter. So, to make sure you do not run into problems with mold, you must make sure proper maintenance is performed. We will clear and/or replace the filter, which not only removes moisture that’s trapped indoors but also prevent mold from further occurring inside of the unit.
Annual maintenance is recommended to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient heating through the winter. It’s always a good idea to test and adjust your system before you really need it, so call us up before the temperatures go down.
