With such a great location and atmosphere I found it absolutely heartbreaking to pay $11 for a corned beef sandwich with no sides that looked and tasted as if it came from a plastic wrap at a gas station. BTW they charged me an extra $2 to put a spoonful of coleslaw on the top. the pizza place across the street is much better.

Old school, kinda dark, nostalgic vibe. Extensive sandwich menu, fantastic chili, hard working staff. Highly recommend. There’s a reason they’ve been in business 60 years.

The restaurant is has a 50's look and feel, a full sandwich menu and soup specials daily. Sandwiches are small but taste great and service is very quick. For a simple reasonably priced lunch this is a great choice for downtown.

It's hard to find a nice assortment of soups. This place has them.. and every one of them is delicious too. Great sandwiches.. tons to choose from. An old Sarasota staple. I recommend a visit
