Yummy pub fare! I have been getting their bangers and mash for years and it never disappoints. This time we also tried the beer cheese and pretzels. The toasty pretzel bites with the rich beer cheese definitely hit the spot.

Great server. Soup and tacos were great. Quesadillas ok. Little greasy. Chocolate cake typical thaw and serve.

At the price point that they are charging, I expected better food and service. The girl who greeted us didn’t utter a word nor a smile and barely bothered to look up from her paper when we asked to be seated. The food was adequate but not anywhere close to what they are charging. The cheese curds were actually quite good. However, I asked for a medium rare steak but it came out burned to a crisp. People stand around the perimeter of the restaurant smoking causing you to smell cigarette smoke the whole meal if you are sitting outside. While the server was clearly overworked she was very sweet and helpful. We will probably be back because we live down the road but if I was passing through I wouldn’t bother.

We live in north Florida and when traveling to Ocala to visit family we pass by the Horse & Hound. I've always wanted to eat there. Finally did. Small restaurant inside plus outside dining. Our waiter was very attentive and the hostess was very pleasant. We ordered half a sandwich with soup or salad. I had the salad and it was well prepared. My husband had stuffed pepper soup and it was delicious. The corned beef on the Reuben was a little dry but sandwich was okay. May return next visit to the area and try their prime rib sandwich.
