Good afternoon. I have only had to write a review about this store once before nd was a positive review. This time, I am afraid to say, this is a negative experience. I live close to this area so I frequent this store quite often. I would even go as far to say everyday. I have had great experiences here. I never felt bullied, or followed, or discriminated against. These are things I am careful to look for in this community. So because of this I keep going to this store. Today, when I walked in I did my normal shopping. When I came to check out. De 'Shay gave me this look as though I had stolen something. Let me just interject with my background. My name is Gertrude Hughes. I have a bachelor's degree in sociology and a masters degree in criminal justice. Currently, I am pursuing my doctorate degree in criminal justice ironically, my proposed dissertation is discrimination in retail stores by associates and loss prevention. I have never stolen a thing in my life. I have never even had the desire to steal. So when I come into a store my mannerisms should never indicate to anyone that I am there to steal. Nonetheless, here I am. For instance, I had come into this same store about a week ago an purchased several items. Among those items was an oreo cake. The cashier told me the total was 9 and some change. I didn't think about it until I went to my car. I was thinking the cake was on sale. So I looked at my receipt and realized he didn't charge me. So I went back in and paid for it. And this can easily be verified by the only male associate who works there. He is a shore white feminine type guy. Back to my concern. De'shay looked at me and looked at the PVM and looked back at me as if she was indicating g I had stolen something. I'm not stupid. I've worked in retail for 20 years. I know the look. When I came to the counter she didn't not even say hi or any type of greeting. I was thoroughly disgusted. I could have easily made a big stink about it but she looked very young and I really did not want to spook her. I do not care for this type of differential treatment when she made sure to greet the customer in front of me. But treated as though I steal. Please address this issue seriously. I do not want her fired. There is no reason to ruin a young adults life and goals so early in adulthood but she should understand that people will take issue I'd they feel they are being treated differently from others. Thank you for your time

This has to absolutely be the cleanest Dollar General store in the state of Florida. It's a pleasure to shop there since the remodel it's like shopping in a mini Walmart. Only thing missing would be produce.. but they're never short on Smiles and greetings..🙋♀️

This store is better now than it once was. That said, the store a bit further South on US-301 is much better stocked and well-organzied.

I went into the store today and I was disrespected I went in to find out how much a pack of L&M cigarettes the lady behind the desk was beyond rude I don't remember her name but she didn't wanna ring it up to see how much it was she was assuming I didn't have enough to buy it and I don't see how that's possible but I'm only giving it a one star because they didn't have any customer service skills and that's big for me, I wanna feel comfortable buying things instead of feeling like I should be happy she letting me spen my hard earned money there this is not ok and I will like to speak with corporate.
