South Beach Parking

The space is located right at the beach next to south pointe park. There is a lot of rush during the peak hours. We reached the lot around 3 pm on a weekend and couldn't find any vacant space in here. They have a lot of slots reserved for valet and that doesn't help the cause either. I would say that the number of slots are not enough to cater to the demand. Not just this parking lot, it's almost impossible to find any place on the roadside in and around the beach area. I finally got to park around 1 mile far on the roadside and had to walk all the way upto the beach.

Hard to find a parking spot but mobile parking is easy, allows you to extend time through mobile.

Visited the beach morning around 10 AM on a busy thanksgiving weekend. I was still able to find ample parking lots. You need to park, key in your license plate number in the parking meter and pay. It charged 6 dollars for 2 hours. Very close to the beach and if you have to extend the time, you could do that in the meter as well. Very convenient.
