Neat place. Been a regular stop for years, but service this last time was a joke (and apparently because we were a party of 6 it was mandatory 20% gratuity?! Yeah like if I were the server why would I care either.), & food was decent but way way over priced. Never got asked about another drink. No water after initial emptied pitcher at first seating. Watched our waitress walk around in circles not doing much for quite a while waiting for the bill. The prices were already up there, comparatively, but have increased to the point where you start to think about what else you could get in town for that much with much better food & service. Won't be back. Edit to owner response: Hey, thanks for the deflection and dismissiveness. We never ask for perfect service nor do we count on it. When we go out we are very laid back and casual. However, when service is good it's usually really good and when it's bad it's just plain bad. At the time, there weren't 40k people extra in town nor was the restaurant that busy. Nice try. At the time it didn't appear that you were short staffed either. Infrequent guest? Really dude? How could you possibly know that? And having been in food service before I do notice things and take then into account when making a review. I didn't recognize the "value" in your meals because there wasn't any. But I'm sure it was all our lack of awareness or uncivilized tastes or something right? Your restaurant is average at best and the price does not equal the quality. And no, comparatively you are not serving larger portions than most, they are average. Again, something that can be ascertained by experience and comparison. No, I'm definitely not coming back after this deflective, I can do no wrong, type of response from an owner. Have fun with your best local casual dining, because at one time you may have been.

Been wanting to visit here for a while, worth the wait. They make you feel at home and bring you what may be the best burger I've had, and there are several creative varieties to try. Nice folks, great food, thumbs up high for this place.

Food was excellent! Service was excellent! Ordered the blonde bomb and could only finish half of that pound of meat! Mac and cheese is cheesy and delicious. Tots, fries & onion rings were all very good.

Fun atmosphere! Decent burgers. Really cold beer. Enjoyed a delicious wheat bier. Very nice and efficient servers/ staff. We ate outside and had a beautiful evening date. Updated: Went to downtown location. Waitress told us before we were seated “(paraphrasing) to be honest, I don’t think our kitchen will be able to make your food before we close. We’ve all been here all day and we’re all exhausted. We’re slammed.” This was at 8pm on a Thursday. My wife and I left and got a carry out pizza somewhere else. What is with the lack of competent help in Eugene? No restaurant in this town, no, this country, seems to be able to find workers.

Why is a frog cornucopia's mascot?

Hi! It all started with our original t-shirt design back in the early 90s, soon after our original Cornucopia Bottle Market opened. Before we were a restaurant, we were a beer & wine store. We had combined and reworked two old wood cut prints that had whimsical looking frogs enjoying beer and wine. One sitting on a mushroom and the other two standing over a keg of lager beer. We found them in a historical book that a customer had loaned us that was all about toasting and drinking. In one of the prints, there was a quote that stated, "You'll never miss the water." The frog, also is known as a symbol of good fortune and luck in many cultures. Over time, we continued to use the frog as our mascot. And the images and artwork evolved through the years.
