In 1926 the State Theater was established as a vaudeville theater. It has a seating capacity over 1500. The resident ghost, "Fred" is claimed to be J. Fred Osterstock who managed the theater at one time. Feature shows include such known artists as Engelbert Humperdinck, Alton Brown, Kenny G, Blue Man Group and Ringo Starr. Get tickets early because they sell out quickly. Parking is available at 2 garages. If you are lucky you may find a spot on the street. The only objection I have is being charged $3 for a bottle of water.

It was unforgettable Memorial Day and Respect Our Rock and Fallen.

It's a great place to see a show. The acoustics are phenomenal, the old architecture is a treasure, staff are friendly, and isn't far from Palmerton PA. If you like going to see shows definitely give it a chance.

Had an incredible time at both Waitress and Jingle Jam this week! Both were great shows! Your volunteers are amazing and so friendly and helpful. Can't wait to see my next show at your venue!

As someone who works there regularly and has been in most of the hidden rooms and underground passages I can definitively say: There is no ghost. Now passages to alternate dimensions cannot be ruled put.
There are a few spaces on the street, but are first come first serve and unable to be reserved. We encourage people to utilize the City of Easton Parking Garage and the Free Trolley that runs from 3rd and Pine to under the marquee and back. If assistance is needed, security is available to help someone out of the vehicle while a companion parks it.

Ticket purchasers will be notified of reschedule and refund information via email when available. We are working at solidifying everything and getting patrons notified amid the state wide shutdown.
We recommend the City of Easton parking garage and run a free shuttle to the theatre and back. They have reduced rates for event parking but need to check with them for the current rate.
Unfortunately we were not given a reason for the reschedule. We were here and and set to go when we received notification mid afternoon and had to scramble to get people notified.
The theatre doors normally open 1 hour prior to a performance. Regardless of the day of the week, the trolley begins about 90 minutes prior to a performance.
Define large. Barely. Rows are narrow as well making entering or exiting once people are seated nearly impossible for thin.
Maybe. Question should be sent to the local police department
While there isn't a dress code, I rarely wear jeans and I see about 10 shows per year. It's a beautiful theatre.
If you park in the parking deck you can ride the bus to the theater and back to the parking deck afterward.
No, not that I know of, but there is a spectrum of great restaurant choices in Easton from mid-range on up.

According to a Morning Call article, there's 1550 seats. Not to be confused for the State College's State Theatre which has 554.
