Consider how few restaurants you know that have been open for over 30 years and have maintained the same quality with customers continuing to return - McGehee’s is the only one I know personally. We lived near OKC when we first visited back then, an near FTW now, and they still have the best catfish of anywhere in both states. They handle crowds and couples, fish eaters and beef eaters, and awesomely fresh fried pies as you order them. Sitting at the end of a country road, we’ll off I-35, Google maps will get you there. Well worth your first trip, and you’ll be going back! Do check the menu, it’s short and easily memorized.

I've been eating at McGehee's for over 35 years. I live in Texas and have family in Oklahoma. We try to plan our trips where we can stop by for some catfish either coming or going. It is by far the best catfish I've ever eaten (just like my mama's!) Best catfish you'll ever eat! Fried, or grilled! The cole slaw is awesome, too! Hush puppies are out of this world! Fresh cut French Fries...mmmmmmm!

Been eyeing this place for a couple years but every time I think about it, it’s too late to head there from our place in DFw but now that I work in Oklahoma at least once a month it was a chance to try it. The food was fresh, and delicious. All you can eat catfish, hush puppies , fries, slaw and tomato relish for $22 per person. So good!!
