The museum is wonderful with displays and artifacts of prehistoric times and today. The mamal displays are remarkable. The entrance fees are reasonable for families. Stop to take a look at San Bernardino's museum. You won't be disappointed.

Our museum is underrated. They've upgraded their look since the quarantine. My 2yo niece had a great time listening to the sounds of 🐦, pretending to pick and pack fruit and pointing at the different prehistoric "fishies." (I thought that there were more water animals on display.) She also enjoyed having her snack break in the open picnic space out back. It was a struggle getting her to leave. We look forward to our next visit.🙂

So much to see at this museum. I honestly didn't know what to expect as I've never been here and this was just a spontaneous idea. The place was not packed at all, we were able to walk around and enjoy the entire museum without feeling rushed. I went on a Saturday afternoon and the crowd was respectful of your space. Its a good place to learn a little about our county and also entertaining for children. I recommend you bring a water and your own personal hand sanitizer as there is a lot of touching going on. They provide hand sanitizer stations but some of them are out or its too watery. Definitely learned a lot from this visit.

This is hilarious. Because that's honest history. If you're offended it's probably because you have a misunderstanding of history.

Prehistoric, yes. Mostly natural history.
Yes. But it cannot be the Pandemic EBT card. Has to be the regular EBT. Just visited today.

It was $8 for military and seniors. $7 for students with ID.
Yes. Either within the Botanical Garden at the front, or behind the Museum, there are a bunch of shaded areas and tables between the museum and the train exhibit outside.

It's never a good idea to bring minerals or artifacts to a museum. Even when the scientist is present, they are probably busy with running their division. Your best bet is to photograph the object and email it to the appropriate person. You could always search their website for contact info of the different curators and staff.
Ken, if I give you kudos for using the term "per se", will you give me kudos for using the word "kudos?" ;-D
I'm not sure that a "County" museum that primarily focuses it's interest on regional topics is a good resource for information on British sea vessels or transatlantic nautical disasters but, it doesn't hurt to ask. Call the museums curators (don't call them "guys", these are educated people) and ask if they know of a good, local source of information suitable to your subject matter. First impressions make a big difference when asking for help so be sure to gather your thoughts before you call and be concise and to the point with your questions. If you choose to write them instead or are instructed to do so be sure to use punctuation.
Look on Groupon for discount tickets. Save a couple of bucks. I think ours were 18 bucks for 2 adults.
Yes there's a picnic area in front😊
Not at the moment but they do have special exhibits from time to time !
Yes they incorporate into exhibit display them in replicas of nests
Yes they have a beautiful picnic area with lots of trees to cover but I do believe you have to get permission.
There are some days that are free that are sponsored by the Bank of America.
They have a first five event on November 4 but November is native American heritage month so more than likely they will have some native American exhibits
