Great hike! Trail is mostly dirt road but som single track as well. Beautiful views of the San Gabriel mountains.

This trailhead is a neighborhood access point to the south side of Chino Hills SP. It is very popular with hikers and mountain bikers and, unfortunately, dog-walkers (dogs are illegal on the trails of Chino Hills SP). There is usually adequate parking along Rimcrest during the week, but there are often a LLLLOOONNNGG line of cars on the weekend. Note that there are no bathrooms, no water, and no trash cans at this trailhead. Please be mindful of residents in the area, who always seem salty -- and with good reason, due to the trash, busyness, and rude drivers that often clog the small neighborhood street. From this trailhead, a good hike is to turn right and hike east along South Ridge Trail, three miles to the top of San Juan Hill, the highest point in the state park. Three miles up, three miles back, with a total elevation gain of about 1,070 feet. On clear days, you can see to the ocean and Catalina Island.

Nice trail options, went on a weekday and it was not crowded. Just know the trail does have Tarantulas and lizards

This is my second time doing this Rimcrest hike! It's both challenging and fun. I started the bottom of Rimcrest street and followed the same trail all the way to the end (you see black Gold golf course) and then you turn around to come back. It's a little over a 4 mile hike and very hilly! I'm 27 weeks pregnant and have done it twice already. It's hard but totally doable. I get a great workout In and will do it again next week!

Not really. The hilltops are like sky islands; you're surrounded by city lights with lots of light pollution. CHSP closes at sunset.
No, but I've read they are actually opening up to the idea of ebikes. Which if you know the state parks, is pretty cool of them yo even allow that. I think you can ride them a little further away at Azusa Canyon or just a short drive to the 215 and 60. You go south on the 215 there's spots. East on 60 from 215 a ton of spots.
Campsites are in the center of the park. You can drive in from Chino Hills. You can hike up from Rimcreast via Easy St. (Trail) to Telegraph into Park Central. This hike is about 10 miles with some steep climbs.
Yes, there is an enter trail at 4721 Sapphire Rd, Chino Hills CA 91709
