I am a former employee of the CCC this company is good for those young kids that are out of high school and do not know where to find jobs, or for those young kids who need a high school diploma. I already had a high school diploma when I applied at the CCC back in 2003 ,and the reason I applied for it was to gain job experience and to get a $2,000 scholarship. Pros- You do something different everyday, You get to meet new people, Outdoor work, You get to camp with fire fighters during fire season The food at the camp sites is great. They offer high school diploma program. You are given a $2,000 if you do volunteer work. There is room for advancement. Cons- Be prepare to work hard, this is not a sitting down job. Be prepare to work in dirty places and get yourself sweaty and dirty. You may deal with drama from co-workers who think they are still in high school. You may also deal with co-workers who are lazy and won't do the job. Overall this job is not bad and is a good start for someone who is having a hard time finding a job. However, if you are the type of person that hates getting dirty, or hates working hard than this job is not for you.
