A great well kept RV park out of the way. Host Jack is an absolute character. He comes across as a Grumpy wannabe but he's as genuine as they come. Bring him a cookie and he's yours. The saloon on property kicks it up a notch on Thursday's & Friday's. The town has a lot to offer including the Yankee Doodle across the street and Melvins Brewery 5 minutes away. If you want to get away from the crowds in Jackson and the Tetons, try the short drive to Alpine. beautiful

Although it is 37 miles from Jackson on the way to the Grand Tetons, when everything closer is booked, this is a great alternative. The site is well cared for with plenty of grass for youngsters to play. Located at the junction of the Snake and Greys rivers, there is fuel, groceries and restaurants near by. The laundry is huge and open 24/7. Jack, the manager and caretaker, is quite the character but very helpful. There is no cable or broadcast TV to speak of but we spent each day exploring the Grand Tetons. I recommend this location when looking for a base camp.

The park was already closed by the time I got here. Stayed on the public land next door, on the reservoir. I would definitely stay here though. Great location with nice views, WiFi, laundry, and showers. The town is small but there is a very nice full size grocery store, Family Dollar, couple of gas stations and restaurants. Nice area. Recommend.

Spots are small and mix of gravel and weeds. We enjoyed the bar and live music on the deck. Bathrooms are very nice. Showers and toilets are separated. Wifi was very good. Dog friendly with a unfenced run near the highway. Real nice restaurant across the street. Yankee Doodle Cafe.
