Deschutes River Trail is a beautifully maintained and sweeping trail along the Deschutes River in Bend Oregon. The trail wanders along the Deschutes River with multiple river access points and posted signs along the way, pointing out points of interest and directions. Wildlife is easy to spot along the trail; it's a wonderful experience for a family. The trail leads into a beautiful park with playground equipment, picnic areas, and wonderful places to look out over the river. After visiting parks in many cities around the northwest, the Deschutes River Trail is one of the very best I've had the pleasure to enjoy! Do yourself a favor and check it out! We had a great sort of early hike on a very hot day. A good 2/3 was shaded well. Lots of great water views. Highly recommend it while in Bend

What a superb trail! These follow the river and take you through the forest. What an excellent place to explore and get outside. Never anything too strenuous or technical. Great for hiking, running, or biking.
