From your fire commissioner Stephan Douche… Notice, he told people to go back to where they came from. This coming from a man (?) who originated in California…maybe he should go back to CA…

Questions & Answers

The Idaho residence who live on S. State Street and the WA/ID border, are they protected by the Newport Fire Dept., or the West Pend Oreille Fire Dept? And if it's Newport FD, how are they compensated throught the property tax system?

If your address is an idaho address then you are in our west pend Oreille fire district. On your taxes it should say who you are paying to as well! If you have a Washington address then newport would be your department. You can also always call the none emergency number for dispatch and have them check it or you can call and ask the department go come and check it out!
