I personally wanted to give a big shout out and huge thank you to Kevin Keyes, he is a motorcycle skills tester for the Kootenai county and is above and beyond amazing!! I took my motorcycle skills test with him on 07-26-2022 at this location and can honestly say I would 100% do it again and I have already HIGHLY recommended him to 3 of my friends that are looking at calling him to take his course as well. Amazing guy with a great attitude, he is laid back and easy to talk to, while being a great overseer and tester, he truthfully took all my stress and worry away from taking the skills test, I showed up and thought for sure I was going to fail as I was the smallest guy there yet had the biggest motorcycle, I was on a big cruiser meanwhile everyone else had dual sports. Kevin took the time to walk us through the entire course and let us ask questions and then he allowed us a practice period to get our bikes good and ready and practice the cone weave. I could not appreciate it more as the part I worried for the most was the cone weave on my big bike but after a few practice runs I had it down and passed the whole course with flying colors!!! If you’re looking for a motorcycle skills tester Kevin is your guy!! He seriously deserves a raise he’s that great!

They can learn how to be better in communication, hospitality and treating the public with decency. Your better then this Idaho! Don’t be Portland!

I have met several wonderful employees that work for the transportation department, my problem with them is the way the handle the roads and plowing in the winter. I have driven mountain passes in the middle of snow storms and not a plow to be seen in either direction, other times I have counted up to six on one side of the pass, can we split them up and have 3 going in each direction so it is a safer travel experience for everyone on the roads? There have been other times when you will see the plows sitting in the pull off areas of the road just sitting in the trucks while passenger vehicles struggle to make it through the roads of deep snow and slush. It seems like at times they don't even try to maintain the roads. I understand that it is a hard and time consuming job, but it is also known when hired on to do that job that you will work long hours and many days in a row, it all depends on the weather. I have had pleasant experiences with the workers in the local office concerning different matters, but overall the handling of how the roads are cleared and dealt with leaves room for huge improvements.

Very helpful! I received the most efficient and kind service from this agency. Very impressed and grateful.

They just lifted SH53 today, SH54 was lifted the other day. If this warn weather continues I would expect more limits to be lifted.
Department of Motor Vehicles in Coeur d'Alene where you would have taken your written exam to get your learners permit.
8am-4pm
Wrong place...You need to go to department of licensing. Not transportation
Begins 2020. I'm not sure if the plan is for 4 lanes with a center median or a center 5th lane which would be a turn lane.. Talk is an over pass over the 41 and Hayden train tracks and a light at Lancaster. There is plans for a new Exit 7 interchange to get off I-90 also.
Go to motor vehicle licensing dept.
Depends on what that $45 additional fee is. But usually most feescan be paid at the DMV offices.
No.
Call DMV they can help you with your questions.
