Riverview Park

We came through Winnemuca on a trip from California to Idaho and spent a night there in the Super 8 hotel. Winnemuca has a history as a pass through town in the other direction, going west people passed through here and the town became famous because it was the last stop before the dreaded 40 mile desert. You have a bank that was assaulted by Sundance Kid in the late 1890s and an old courthouse. The town is well taken care of, they have small parks like the Riverview Park and a Museum on the other side of the river.

Convenient location, well kept. Dog owners could do a much better job cleaning up after their pets.

River was dry, but the grass was nice. Would be nice if there was a little shade, but over all a nice little park.
