I am currently a counselor at ABHS and have also worked there in the past. First off, I’d like to thank the director Mr. Prutsman, my supervisor, operation supervisors, for seeing things in us employees that we have not see in ourselves. They help us to strive to become better rather than just fire people or let them go like I have seen in the past. The staff are super friendly here. As for the counselors and care team at ABHS, they would not work here very long if they were not able to have compassion for our clients. We believe in treating them like we would treat our own children or family members. The program we use teaches core skills, professionalism, it builds confidence, being a role model, teaching the inner-self to become stronger than the habit-self, it involves efforts to change thinking patterns, which then change feeling patterns, and the changes are false belief systems. These strategies might include: Learning to recognize one's distortions in thinking that are creating problems, and then to reevaluate them in light of reality focusing on one’s strength’s and having support from staff to come to the realizations of codependency, lack of boundaries, lack of communication skills, problem -solving, emotion regulation, and decision-making, and then teaching relapse prevention planning, and caseworkers helping to get them housing if needed to have a sober place to live. Clients are taught to be role models and have leadership positions in the community and are taught to support their peers by giving back. On another note, the food is great! The clients rave about it! The building is older -yes, but we have a maintenance team that works hard every day to make it nice. House keepers are outstanding, laundry workers are amazing! Inpatient treatment for those who don’t know is designed to get the client ready for intensive-outpatient. It’s one step in the recovery process. The program works if you work it. The clients have told me over and over they are happy with our program. They look happier and healthier. They smile again. I see the program working myself by families being restored, clients health is restored, self-worth is restored. Depression, anger, shame, guilt that keep the addict using is diminished. This disease can only be placed in remission there isn’t an “instant fix”or cure. It’s a life change. Seeds are planted, lives are being saved because we fight for lives here everyday at ABHS. We welcome all who want help! We come together in adversity to share our knowledge and hope in order to help rebuild the lives of this community with a common unity. I love my job! I never have a bad day! Such a fulfilling job I have. I am blessed to be part of an amazing team that continues to improve and grow for the sake of those we treat.

I have worked for ABHS for over 3 years and I have been very happy here. ABHS is always looking for ways to support their empoloyees and increase client care. They have been diligent in their efforts to remain open while COVID has been making it so difficult in order to be here for clients that are suffering in their addiction. I have read the negative reviews and all I see is reviews that are aimed at cauding disent by employees that were toxic. I have worked in other facilities and this is by far the best treatment and company I have worked for. Thank you ABHS for the opportunities I have been provided here as an employee and as a Counselor helping clients.

I was once a client at ABHS years ago and now I am an employee at the same location I attended treatment at. This facility is full of awesome people who truly care about the clients here. The staff is supportive, helpful and always looking out for one another as well as the wellbeing of our clients. ABHS is a great place to work and was a valuable stepping stone in my own road to recovery.

It’s better than some other rehab facilities in the area. Most of the staff are great and truly care about helping the clients with their program. On the bright side several clients have been successful staying sober after completing treatment. The management focus though seems to be on numbers only and not quality care of the clients. At one point there could be 100-130 clients and only 3-4 staff on duty for EVERYTHING. The same staff who is handling medications is running the floor, doing counts, security checks, Covid cleaning, helping with meals, and so on. Sometimes clients will go without required medications for days, even weeks. Over all it’s a program for those who really are dedicated to changing their lives.

Visiting is on Saturdays and Sundays in our Spokane Facilities. Your best option is to call the facility your loved one is in and ask for the days and times of visiting. You also will need to fill out a visiting form and be approved. Thank you for inquiring. I hope this was helpful.
I would like answer to question "if someone left program can they return"
Yes I was there too and Remember they. I am a person worthy of love ,dignity and respect. My worth is separate from my behaviors and I shall choose lybehaviors and my behaviors will become my character (! Not all right on sure. But something more to add from it .
Cozza mission is only men
We would strongly encourage you to leave your children at home when visiting clients in the facility.
Request for her to mail you a visiting packet
Long enough to arrange a ride when you hop tha fence to go home. itz not a super-max.

Answer the question. !! Best way to get money to my daughter.
We do not allow chewing tobacco in any of our facilities
We do not offer private rooms at our facilities. We do strive to keep our facilities clean and well maintained
If you would like to send a client a letter send it to the facility that the client is currently located. Please make sure you place the clients name with the address. for example: American Behavioral Health Systems (Jon Doe) 12715 E Mission Ave. Spokane Valley WA 99216
It will depend on which facility you are located in. If you contact the admissions department they can make arrangements to fit your needs.
You have 30 days from the abort date to retrieve personal belongings
The duration of the stay will be determined by the provider. Initial authorizations can be for fifteen days. Extensions beyond the initial authorizations can be requested and granted based on a variety of factors.
If the visitation is approved and the client has been in the facility for 7 days or longer the visits can start immediately.
The list for what they need to bring is so outdated.
You can drop them off in person or mail them to the location the client is being treated
We do not allow any vitamins or medications without a doctors prescription.
To ensure the privacy of all of our clients we do not allow cell phones
All visitors are asked to fill out a background check form before they are allowed into the secured areas
Within the 1st 24 hours they get 1 phone call then on the 8th of them there they can call. They have to fill out visitation papers to get visitors and it has to get approved by a counselor. You can call the main number and leave messages
No you don't interact or hardly see them sometimes during smoke breaks you'll see the guys but not normally
Oralia, Your son will be just fine and guided in the right direction during his entire program stay. As not all reviews are of praise, we have a lot that are. We are the largest provider in the state of Washington, and the online reviews do not come close to the many lives we have helped during our 20+ years. Like any large company, we work hard every day to improve our processes. Your concerns are noted and will be forwarded to management. I wish you and your family the best on your sons' road to recovery.
Yes they charge for everything and the place is hell if you're broke
