I have had great customer service in my encounters with the staff. They were efficient and able to assist customers quickly. Have your package ready, have your method of payment available. Those are the 2 things that make the line slower.

I was picking up my mail when I noticed I forgot my box # and couldn't find the right box; I swear I tried atleast 30 boxes but I realized I wasn't getting anywhere so I asked for help from the post office but they were no help at all. However, I didn't give up and when I noticed this new lady at the window that I didn't see at first I approached her and asked if she could help me. Little did I know that she was the "Post Master" and she got the job done!? Like she verified my information as well as my face and she was able to locate my box! I was one happy customer. Thank you. However, the janitor working there was asking me too many personal questions; it felt like I was being interrogated and I felt very uncomfortable.

Window clerks are consistently professional, knowledgeable and helpful in my many visits over the past 2 1/2 years. My mail carrier (lower east side) also deserves a shoutout for his predictable and constant good work!

A visithere is rarely pleasant, which is why I print labels at home. Today the website wasn't working to print labels, so I went in. The woman who "waited" on me was angry about something and extremely rude. I handed her the QR code USPS sent me and she looked at it like I put dog dirt in front of her. She didn't know what it was and told me said it wasn't priority mail. I offered to show her the email, but she refused. She said it was regular mail, even when I told her I paid $8.05 for the stamp. Of course the label printed, then she said I had the wrong envelope, but I didn't. She made me change envelopes, then followed me into the self service area and wanted the item back. That better get to it's destination. There is no reason to treat customers with hostility and rudeness.

If you don't have a PO Box, I would call and ask them to locate it and hold it for you
No passport photo services here but you can get one in Walmart.
Is it possible that both letters were taken to Oakland and back to the respective cities, with one or the other having a shorter delivery time then the other?
Go.in and ask for a vacation hold.
This isn't the official USPS answer page. It's just your local neighbors answering questions. Call or stop your mail person for answers.
They should pick it up before the last truck arrives somewhere between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
