After taking over our apartments enforcement company, being brand new we had to register all our vehicles on their site. That’s fine I guess, but then they hang all these TINY unreadable signs in awful locations that say in small print that visitors have to register also, so here comes our Halloween party, people arrive at 11:30, and leave around 2:00am, and all my friends got ticketed (they all parked in clear visitor parking spots) When I called to explain, they refused to be helpful saying “it says in your lease. Be a grown up and own up to it.” FYI, our lease had a completely different company. They are an absolute scam company.

To start off, the website shows a complete lack of technological prowess. The design of the of website is not intuitive or user friendly at all. There is no place to view your permits, delete an existing permit to add a new car, etc. This problem becomes increasingly prevalent when they are always ready to give out tickets at the drop of a pin. This brings me to registering visitors. It’s beyond unreasonable to expect residents to police everyone that visits them on the rules that aren’t even posted within the lots. In addition to this, having to document every single person that visits them is bizarre and tedious. Even when permits are properly obtained by residents and visitors alike, J5 still sees it fit to give out unwarranted tickets. When one of my visitors was unfairly ticketed by J5, he reached out via email and was met with unprofessional and rude behavior. The owner’s own defensive and grammatically laughable responses to yelp reviews is only indicative of his incompetence as a business owner. I just think it’s interesting that J5 has the time to constantly prowl parking lots looking for an opportunity to grab some quick cash, yet they are unable to find the brief moment it would take to run a simple spell check. I think it’s quite clear where their priorities lie.

Every time I visit my family I ALWAYS register my vehicle on time, I never miss the 7 o’clock dead line. I saw my dad on 10/3 and registered my vehicle, and then revisited on 10/5, again registering my vehicle by 7pm. I registered my vehicle at 6:50 pm and when I went out to my car, there was a ticket on my windshield issued to me at 8:11 pm!!! I have both email confirmations to prove I was registered on both days. I emailed J5 and they told me that I used the same permit for 24 hrs! I was never over for 24 hrs, I was gone a whole day before I came back again on the 5th. Long story short, I couldn’t register my vehicle the next two times I visited, even after emailing non-stop and disputing the ticket TWICE. I even left a note on my windshield for the guy who walks around giving tickets trying to explain the situation because I couldn’t get a hold of them. It took me almost a month to get the ticket lifted. When I finally sent a fricking essay of an email with attachments of my emails confirmations they finally lifted the ticket. But still. I always play by the rules and always register my vehicle on time to avoid these types of situations. I visit my dad every week and drive 40 minutes to see him as is. All I simply ask is to establish a more organized system. Had the guy seen I registered my vehicle at 6:50 pm this could’ve been avoided completely.

The fact that Cedar Square Apartments commented here themselves with 5 stars is confirmation that these two companies are working together to scam the residents that live at Cedar Square Apartments. As a recent former resident of Cedar Square, I received 3 tickets from their scamming counterpart, J5 Enforcement— all 3 tickets were for my car, which is registered to my parking spot, while I was in my parking spot. It’s literally laughable that J5 thinks they’re doing anything to “give back to the community.” If you’re considering moving anywhere with J5 Enforcement in place— save yourself from a costly nightmare and DO NOT DO IT. J5 is a scam company that conducts ILLEGAL business practices at the expense of everyone whose lot they occupy, residents & visitors alike.

They ticketed you because they’re a scam company filled with people who can’t find real jobs.

I have paid both of my penalties through PayPal and I still can't get a permit for my new car! What's going on?

we are not patrolling any longer for your complex

Has anyone actually had collections come after them or had their credit score affected by something J5 enforcement did?

Yes, we do have an active collection agency. As for having credit to have been affected. It certainly could. However the agency and I have an agreement as to the time that would happen. We really don’t want to affect someone’s life in that way. At the same time we aren’t a towing company. We do not hold your property forcing a person to pay a fee to recover that property. I hope this answers your questions.
