There's lots of nature trails there two hike on. Plus there are ponds to fish on in the river itself to fish.

Love these trails! There is tons of fish, ducks, deer, and the occasional osprey. There is 3 parks plus a big trail system with lots of shaded trailway! (thats where the ducks are) There is also a fish observatory for the dam nearby and a really big Frisbee golf course

Easy walk. Be wary of ticks in the summer months, for you and your pets. If you see deer, approach slowly and quietly and they won't run off. They are used to humans and do get curious.

If you want to see deer, fish, and walk on nature trails come to McNary Wildlife Nature. Just don't go off the trail because there's deer ticks. I love how relaxing it is here, you can bring the kids to the playground as well and also enjoy the picnic tables in this park.

Questions & Answers

On Google maps, where exactly is parking located

Along Ferry road there are several locations to park at several different ponds, the further you go the closer you get to Social Security Pond and Frog Pond 1. At the Y on Brownell road where the Restrooms are, there is parking there as well as multiple pull in locations along the shore of the ponds if you continue down the Y to the right. If you enter the Nature are there will also be multiple signs that can help lead you to the areas you want to go!

Are there rattlesnakes? I was down there today and saw a baby snake (it shook its tail like a rattler, ) at the rest room past the turtle ponds.

Don't know about rattlesnakes, but I have seen a bullsnake around the beach area.
