Tidewater Campground

Me and my boyfriend come here almost every weekend and get a tent site and she is always very friendly never rude to us and her campground is the only one we have found that allows one night in a tent most every campground ive called close to the beach has a 3 night minimum . We enjoy tidewater everytime we go there .

This was one of the worst campground I have ever been to. The rules were out ragitious. You go camping to enjoy yourself, but here you can't. This place to me is made for elderly people. When you go camping,and when it comes time to sit by the fire, I have never been told it has to be out by11:00 or they will put it out and that they will do. I have sat by fires where we sit around the fire,have a couple of drinks and just talk. What can you do when fire is out but go to bed. I'm an adult and don't need to be told to do this and that. There are more rules that are not fair. They don't even let you have visitors. We had a friend come from New York with here young daughter and when the owner saw she came to our site, she was told to leave because she was not registered. I was will to pay for her to stay, but no. Thank goodness she had gotten a hotel. Never will I step foot here again.

We camp here recently for our first trip. We had a great experience. Theresa, the owner and woman at check in was super helpful and nice. The campground is really well maintained. They are strict with the rules, but we actually didn’t mind that, makes it for a safe and peaceful experience. The pool wasn’t ready yet, but it’s so close to the beach that it didn’t matter. Their pricing was so reasonable and it’s a beautiful and perfect location. We will definitely be back next year for sure, if not again this year!

We stayed here on our shake down trip with our RV, we read the reviews, we read the complaints and frankly if we followed the rules there was no issue. They have strict rules and enforce them. If you're a rule breaker this isn't the place, if you like to go with the flow.. here it is. We stayed for two weeks, always had pleasant chats with the owner. Didn't get yelled at, didn't speed, we liked the place and recommend to others. We just tell them read the rules and be prepared to follow them.
