12.50 for the big breakfast ? One peice of bacon one sausage patty and the pancake was very small , food was good just very pricey I feel for the amount you get plus the paperback lost the charm it once had , no books , no music , its turned into another overpriced shoreline summer spot 😕

Edited….. Took 1 hour to get our breakfast. Being a server/bartender I completely understand being busy and understaffed. What I don’t understand is the lack of communication. Never once did a server come over and apologize for the long ticket times. Then I would understand. To not be acknowledged at all for 50 minutes, that is unacceptable.

As usual I got the Paleo pancakes. I literally travel from my town to Old Saybrook every few months to get these.

I Went here with My Best Friend and the Food was Good. I had a cheese omelette with onions and the hash browns and I liked it . I like the Way the Hash Browns are Made they are Just Right and I thought that it was Great. It’s Nice inside or You Could Sit Outside and enjoy Yourself. I had Fun their with my Best Friend and the Service is good and The People that Work their are Nice to their customers. If You are Looking For a Place to have a Nice Breakfast than Go to the paperback café.
