Best Western Plus North Haven Hotel

I’d first like to say, the front desk staff was amazing and went above and beyond. But the management staff was horrible. We had booked our room block over a year ago and had nothing but problems the entire time. I had called over multiple weeks to figure out the bus schedule that their original sales manager offered to book on our behalf. I had called to just confirm the times the shuttles would be leaving. I never received a call back until Thursday evening (it was a Friday wedding) where the hotel general manager was very frantic that I pay him for the shuttles in either cash or a bank check, which I had already paid the shuttle company directly upon them booking it. Instead of calling me back to confirm our already booked shuttles he booked new shuttles. He called 4 different times on our wedding day and was being very disrespectful. Lastly, per our contract with the hotel each our guests were to receive a welcome bag which did not happen, as well as we were also supposed to receive a complimentary bottle of champagne. I can only wonder the reason they have gone through 2 front office managers is because of how disrespectful the general manager was to a guest, he must be really awful to his employees.

We got this room because my partner and I were seeing a concert in the area. It was 126 dollars for one night. We dropped our belongings off and went to the show and came back later that night. There was an odd smell in the room like one of those cheap Lysol sprays and it burned my partners through so bad she lost her voice. We elected to leave then rather then be uncomfortable the entire night. Not sure if they sprayed something while we were away but I asked for at least a partial refund but they claimed no manager was on duty. I guess some times a good deal isn't worth it.

Just great! I am a business traveler and this place is just perfect for that! Ok… now I am going to gush…. Short walk to my room, then in the room there was a slider that led to a secluded oasis away from the roads and rail. This hotel has a inside yard area complete with a little gazebo. I was able to sit at a picnic table, have a few beers and get some work done!, wow! Then when I was hungry ordered from the hotel restaurant hook and ladder… Wowza. Awesome food. I had the fried cheese curds. Yes North Haven CT. Just like Wisconsin!, fantastic. Also the people here are great! The young gent who checked me in could not have been more accommodating. The friendly bartender who took my food order, and everyone is awesome. This is one hotel I would add to the list of “safe havens” when traveling!, Thanks much!!

They are racist. The amenities are hardly in service and when you ask about them they kick you out and refuse to refund your room and threaten you with police. Especially the overnight crew and the young man who works overnight with the glasses. Don’t waste your money. Plus I’ve seen bed bugs here on my last visit. For the $$ there are better more respectful hotels.
