My dad used to take me here as a kid and we still go to this day. Pay attention to the days they are open and the hours. You can also purchase a license/ pass online that make the process much easier. It is far from home for my family, but we still think the drive is worth it once in a while.

The ODNR is the classic example of why the government should have no say in what you do with your firearms. Trip was unpleasant start to finish and it's all because of the loser staff member who is angry he never qualified for the military likely due to his morbid obesity.

Great staff, Great people at the range! First visit out here, relaxed atmosphere. Everyone working together on being respectful, to each other. When you needed a ceasefire, to go down range. There were no frowns. Worth the extra half and hour drive.

Clean, safe, great place to shoot. I've never had to wait to shoot. RO's doing their jobs. The only thing I would change is the bathroom and add a water fountain/ add vending machine.

Questions & Answers

Do you just put targets, like the self adhesive ones on a piece of cardboard and then tape on stands? Or do the stands already have a backplan that you then just tape the target on? Thanks

Imagine what realtors use for open house signs.....and you tape your targets over the sign. Or you can bring your own stands.....ODNR does not supply targets.....just the stands.

ODNR is th most warm hearted gun range I have been to in the state of Ohio. After being turned down by A&A gun range several times and C4 rifle range always being closed, I would like to call ODNR my second home 😊

Because A&A would tell me everytime I wanted to go to practice that the ranges are open. But time I get there the range would be close to public 🤦🏾‍♂️

Am I allowed to shoot clay pigeons here?

They have a separate clay pigeon area directly west of the entrance to the shooting range. You have to bring all your own stuff though.

It is a state-run facility. And like all government run offices and agencies they are probably closed Monday September 4th Labor Day.

Yes they do. All ranges areas have them. And they have a roof coverage
