Very cozy semi-below grade eatery. I love the black/white tile floor! Just passing through Scranton. I like to check out local restaurants. I got a Texas foot-long & onion rings. The Coney dog (Coney sauce, not chili) did not ring bells for me. But the onion rings seemed to be hand made. Very good! I like hitting off-beat local food. If you do too, then this fits the bill. They serve a small rectangle shaped burger (take that White Castle!) with onions, mustard and chili. If you want something different, they have a hot dog with chili, mustard, and onions. The fries are good and they can be had with several toppings. The service was pleasant, but I could tell that they are more accustomed to people who know that you just grab a table and they'll come to you and who know what they serve. The walls are covered with drawings of people. Are they famous? Maybe....maybe not. They're famous enough to be on the wall which is more than I can say for myself.
