Hi Robert. We are a medical store and for medical stores, you need a medical ID and a state-issued ID (from the same State that issued your medical card). For recreational cannabis (again, we are just medical), all you need is a photo ID (state or government issued) showing you are 21+.

It’s a great question. Recreational (adult use - AU) cannabis products are more expensive than medical because the AU cannabis program has greater compliance requirements and is more heavily taxed than medical (the Maine Marijuana Legalization Act imposes a 10% tax on all recreational cannabis sales). There are stringent testing requirements to ensure the safety of the products. Currently there are no testing requirements in the Maine medical cannabis program.

The Eliot location is medical only, Waterville has recreational though.

Rec. Is not up and running in Maine yet. Officials say early 2020 ( closer to like March)..all cannabis sales in Maine are still Medical card holders only. Most dispensaries in Maine accept out of state med. Cards as well. Hope this helps. FYI: I'm Not an employee @ sweet dirt.
