The fishing is excellent but there is often debris in the water that has been thrown in the water. Have seen fox, muskrat, hawks, deer, herons, kingfishers and plover. So good for birding. Definitely good to kayak.

There is nothing to visit it is swamp land around the Passaic river. Stay away it is not a place to visit unless you like mud. Visit an established nature preserve instead. Also if you choose to visit in the summer bring lots of mosquito repellent or a mosquito net.

I think this parking
I do a lot of canoeing there just do not put in at Camp Lane that is a no-parking area fishing is pretty good I would not eat anything I catch and I do see people hiking from time to time along the banks
