ER visit- had no idea I am now age 57 and allergic to bees. Wow. Staff was excellent.. Dr McCallister was kind, patient, explained everything perfectly. They had a team on me as soon as I showed them the hives, etc. Logan was my nurse he did a great job sticking me with epi pen. I was there awhile and needed a second epi injection in the other leg. Great team! Thank you for saving my life! PS- I went to urgent care first don’t waste your time there… no triage skills whatsoever.

I had a complicated appendicitis on a remote island in Maine and was flown here. I was in hospital for 2 weeks. Wow, I am so glad I wound up in Penn Bay. The nursing staff was great, the doctors were great. The common rooms had nice views. I was free to move around as I could. Thankfully I didn't go to Portland or home. I cannot say how grateful I am to the "just right" sized Penn Bay.

My father died at the expense of this hospital not knowing his medical history OR medication that was prescribed through a PenBay office. I would never recommend sending yourself or your loved ones here if it’s a surgery or life threatening. You’re better off driving an hour away so they can survive their procedures.
