Adorable place with tasty offerings, friendly service and fresh seafood, though limited seating. We shared clam chowder, half a dozen oysters and monkfish nuggets. We were a little underwhelmed by the chowder (nothing bad, just not WOW), but the rest was delicious! Would definitely like to return and try other things on the menu!

Absolutely the worst experience ever! The workers are rude, nasty, disrespectful and unprofessional. The place smelled terrible and I saw several unsanitary problems. It looks like the owner set up his office on the counter space where customers are supposed to walk in and be able to eat. Upon seeing these concerning issues, we didn't even sit, we decided to walk out. Beware and stay away. Plenty of other restaurants in the area that are CLEAN with friendly, welcoming employees & owners. This place is disgusting, much like the attitudes of those running the place. Clean up your restaurant and your attitudes!

Had the grilled cheese panini with heaps of fresh Maine crab and a slice of wild blueberry pie. It was the best food I’ve had outside of my home state of Maryland! And we had two wonderful servers and really enjoyed the beautiful outdoor seating.

Delightful restaurant on Main Street in downtown Bar Harbor. We were in the mood for seafood and Peekytoe Provisions hit the spot. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer and it was fresh, flavorful, and delicious, a pleasant change from most of the calamari we've eaten. As a main course, my wife ordered the spinach salad with blackened salmon and the fish was cooked perfectly. I was happy that she shared some with me. I ordered one of the daily specials, a halibut sandwich, and I was very pleased. The fish was tender and perfectly cooked and the tomatoes were the best ones of the season. I washed down the meal with a bottle of Lunch IPA and finally learned where the name comes from (I won't spoil the surprise) and we finished the meal with a delightful lemon bar that was the perfect combination of sweet and tart.

We will take a short break from November 1-10th. After that we will be open all winter until late March/early April when we will take another break.
Local fish and shellfish we only sell fresh. The tinned fish and shellfish we sell is from Spain. There is not a local cannery, unless you consider Canada local.
