Amazing service and food! We enjoyed the clam chowder-this is a must have! As well as the lobster roll. Both were incredible. We split the roll and it was more than enough for the 2 of us! So glad we stopped in!

Great simple ambiance. A friar greeted is say the door. Food was the best we had in our entre week in Maine. We stopped at a lot of lobster restaurants, this was the BEST! Got a rack of sample beers.

We went to Friar's Brewhouse for brunch on a Sunday morning. My two companions were both well-pleased with their food. One had breakfast pizza which she said was excellent. Another had macaroni & blue cheese which he said was very good. I chose the classic Mac & Cheese which was very unremarkable. There wasn't much of any kind of a cheese taste. My friends both ordered the four beers sampler which they found good. Naturally each had their favorite, but there were no complaints. Friar's is very small but if you're seated in a good spot the view is fabulous. Reservations are recommended. I give Friar's a 4-star rating because my companions enjoyed their brunch even though I was unimpressed.
